Day 1 of inventor pitches at the 2009 International Home + Housewares Show is in the books, and what a day it was! We saw an incredible lineup of inventors presenting their products to our panel, each one bringing their own unique energy and creativity to the stage. The range of products was impressive — from kitchen innovations to cleaning solutions to clever storage gadgets.

The Livemercial team was front and center, evaluating each product not just for its “cool factor” but for its real-world online sales potential. We look at things like demonstrate-ability (can you show it working on video?), the “wow” factor (will it stop someone mid-scroll?), and price point (is it an impulse buy?). These are the elements that make a product successful in online direct response, and several of today’s pitches hit all the right marks.

It’s always inspiring to see the passion that inventors bring to these events. Many of them have spent years developing their products, and getting the chance to pitch to industry professionals is a dream come true. We’re honored to be part of that process. Day 2 is coming up, and if today was any indication, we’re in for another round of great products and passionate pitches.
